Busy, Busy!!!

I often have people ask me what I’m up to. I guess it’s not as easy to figure out as it used to be. And really, it’s not as easy to answer either….

That’s why I just throw a big list of things I’m working on to the blog and try to answer all the questions in one shot. So here it goes-

I’m still working on building the catering business. And, it’s coming into the time of year that I am busy with parties! Also working on a new offering of customized cooking classes. I’ve done these in the past and always had a great time.

I’m helping foodservice businesses get some exposure online. I set myself apart by adding my years of experience “in the field” to make a real difference.

Dave Asher with the Reno/Sparks Local Business Co-op is letting me put together some classes for small business owners. Free for everyone and a good lead generator for the business experts involved. This may turn into a bigger membership based group in the future.

I’ve been working with Reno Datebook to put together a social coupon system. Similar to Groupon, Living Social, etc. but charging half of what they do and offering a lot more on the support end. We actually call you back…. :-) (Email me on this one if you’re interested)

I’ve joined up with a few colleagues to build a new online brand for a business coach. We’re in the brand development stage now, then moving onto social media and outreach. Eventually offering an online “coaching” solution for small business. Nothing much to show yet, but it should prove to be an interesting project taking a local/personal brand and spreading it online.

I just sent off my presentation for Ignite Reno #7. I’ll be talking BBQ, and you should be there to see it!

The guys over at the Reno Barons have approached me to manage their blogging and some social media. I’ll have the details on that soon. Should be a fun way to grow my blogging expertise in a non-foodservice area.

What else?…..

Personally I’ve been working out more, training in boxing once a week, reading a ton and trying to figure out where I should go on vacation this year…… ideas?

And that’s how I fill my days. It’s kind of fun being able to move from one project to another every day and keep my mind working.
